Missional Purpose
At Parkway Baptist, our Music Ministry flows from hearts filled with praise and gratitude to our Savior. Our mission is threefold: to glorify the Lord, to lead our congregation into meaningful worship, and to offer a joyful noise that makes the Lord smile. We believe that music is more than just a performance—it is a spiritual preparation for the Word of God. As Psalm 100:2 says, "Serve the Lord with gladness: come before His presence with singing." Our goal is to cultivate an atmosphere where every song points hearts toward Christ and prepares them to receive the message He has placed on our pastor’s heart.
Philosophy
Our Music Ministry embraces a rich blend of traditional hymns, southern gospel classics, praise choruses, and contemporary choir arrangements. We aim to honor God through music that uplifts the soul and remains rooted in biblical truth. As the Apostle Paul exhorts: "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" (Colossians 3:16, KJV).
We believe that through these songs, the congregation is encouraged, edified, and drawn closer to Christ in worship. Each melody, lyric, and harmony is offered as an expression of gratitude and praise for the grace we have received through Jesus Christ.
Choir Practice
Our choir practices regularly to prepare for Sunday services and special events. Rehearsal times may vary, so if you’re interested in joining the choir, please reach out to Butch Green. He will provide details on how you can get involved in this rewarding ministry. The Parkway Baptist Choir is more than a group of singers—it is a community of believers lifting their voices in unity to magnify the name of the Lord. As Psalm 95:1 invites us: "O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation."

Our "S.A.L.T. Ministry" is dedicated to ensuring that every service at Parkway Baptist is experienced with excellence in sound and lighting. As Matthew 5:13 (KJV) reminds us, "Ye are the salt of the earth," we strive to preserve and amplify the message of the Gospel through technology. All services are recorded and made available on our website and social media platforms.
